FAQ
Good questions, straight answers.
Do you provide the alcohol?
No, and that’s Georgia law, not a policy choice. Le'Pour ATL is a dry-hire bartending service. Under Georgia law we cannot sell alcohol. You (the host) purchase and own the alcohol; we provide certified staff, equipment, mixers, and service. You keep every unopened bottle. We send a custom shopping list sized to your guest count so you buy the right amount, and we can pick it up for you with our alcohol pickup add-on.
Are you insured? Can you send a certificate of insurance (COI)?
Yes. We carry $2M in general liability and liquor liability coverage (general liability alone excludes alcohol, so we carry both). We send a COI to your venue within 24 hours of your request, naming the venue as additional insured when required.
How many bartenders do I need?
We staff 1 bartender per 50 guests for a full bar or cocktails and 1 per 75 for beer and wine, with a barback at 100+ guests. Our instant quote does this math for you.
| Guests | Full bar / cocktails (1 per 50) | Beer & wine only (1 per 75) | Barback |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 50 | 1 bartender | 1 bartender | — |
| 51–75 | 2 bartenders | 1 bartender | — |
| 76–100 | 2 bartenders | 2 bartenders | Yes at 100 |
| 101–150 | 3 bartenders | 2 bartenders | Yes |
| 151–200 | 4 bartenders | 3 bartenders | Yes |
How much is the deposit?
We hold your date with a non-refundable retainer of 30% of your total or $250, whichever is greater. That’s lower than the 50% most Atlanta bartending companies ask. Your date is held only once the retainer is paid; unpaid holds release after 48 hours.
When is the balance due?
Your remaining balance is charged to your card on file 7 days before your event (14 days for weddings and events of 150+ guests). We email you 3 days before the charge. Events over $1,000 booked more than 90 days out can split the balance into 2–3 installments.
What is your cancellation and reschedule policy?
Cancel 60+ days out and we keep only the retainer. Between 30 and 59 days, 50% of the total is due. Inside 30 days, the full fee is due. You may move your date once within 12 months at no charge ($100 fee inside 30 days). If we ever fail to perform, you get a full refund. Your client portal shows the exact refund math before you confirm anything.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is free within 40 miles of our Atlanta base. Beyond that it’s $2 per mile, calculated automatically from your venue ZIP code in the instant quote.
What do you need at the venue?
A flat area about 10 ft × 6 ft for the bar, access to water, and a standard power outlet within reach. We arrive 90 minutes early to set up and need about 60 minutes after service to break down. Tell us about stairs, loading docks, or parking in your event questionnaire.
What if my guest count changes?
Update it in your client portal up to 14 days before your event. We’ll adjust staffing and re-price automatically. Going down a tier after booking doesn’t reduce the retainer.
Do you serve shots?
We’re happy to pour a celebratory toast or a round of shots for the wedding party at the host’s request. We don’t run open shot service for all guests, and we always reserve the right to stop service to anyone who has had enough.
Can we do a mocktail-only or dry event?
Absolutely. Our Mocktail Bar is built for dry weddings, corporate wellness events, church and school functions, and sober-curious and pregnancy-friendly celebrations. Same craft, same presentation, zero proof.
How far ahead should I book?
For Saturdays from March to November, 4–8 months ahead. Weekday corporate events and smaller parties often book 2–4 weeks out. Check your date live in the instant quote.
How does gratuity work?
Gratuity is never required. You can add a hosted gratuity (10%, 15%, or 20% presets) to your final invoice, or allow a tasteful tip jar at the bar. Your choice.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Stripe, plus buy-now-pay-later options where eligible. Card-on-file autopay for your balance is optional and you can turn it off in your portal.
Are your bartenders licensed?
Georgia doesn’t issue a state bartender license. What matters is this: every Le’Pour bartender is TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certified, insured, 21 or older, and holds a local pouring permit in every metro-Atlanta jurisdiction that requires one. We ID anyone who looks under 30 and never serve anyone under 21.
